Pick your favourite – there’s one to suit every appetite (pun intended)! Junkfood junkies seem to have got the best selections though. The next time you take a bite of your favourite snack, try to keep a straight face … and your appetite!
To the marketing/advertising geniuses who came up with these great catchphrases – thanks for the laughs. And hey, if it’s any consolation, we will NEVER forget your campaign’s message after this!
Billboard ads are meant to entice you into buying a product. Let me rephrase “It’s meant to convince you to buy something while at the time persuading you that it was your idea all along!”
And many of billboards serve their purpose. To be fair most of them are cool and creative. So much so that you would stop to snap a picture, thus sealing its membership in the hall of coolness. But there are those that miss the mark. Yes, there are billboards that come across as just strange or bizarre. Here’s a few that fall into that category.
Warning against Gun Control?
I suppose the message is a good one. Don’t come into the area with firearms, don’t hit or hurt people. Or was it that you don’t pass by whilst someone was being hurt?
One of the problems with a hand-made billboard is that it does not last that long in the rainy tropics, does it?
You know, I am not sure if it is a left-right or right-left language. Keeping that mind, are they against brutality and asking you to bring in the guns? Or did someone bring in guns and it was used to beat up some poor folk?
What do you need when you are sleepy at work? What do you seek for when you are playing basketball and chewing something makes you focus? What do you look for when you realised your breath is not exactly “fresh”?
Yeap! You need a chewing gum. Chewy, minty, flavoury and in some way, cool. Chewing gums has been around for ages! In fact, during the olden times, people started chewing on leaves and plants. That is way, way back then. OK, Let’s not get too far now.
One of the first chewing gums I ever chewed on is Extra chewing gum. It has been around since 1984, making its name as the first sugar-free chewing gum in the market. Recently, I saw Extra’s TV commercial and I simply love it! Then I searched in Youtube for more of the similar ads and I got seven of it!
You are walking down a street one day to a glass covered bus stop and you see no one in it. Are you sure? To your shock however, when you reached the front of the bus stop, you see a guy sitting in it. He couldn’t care less how shock you look. And just to be sure, you walked out again to the side of the bus stop for a quick reality check. Nobody! Are you sure the man sitting there is well, a real man?
The copy for this ad is “Is invisibility possible?” Not sure from what company and what’s the message though. If anyone know, please share with us.
The first time I saw this TV commercial, I just have to chuckle. It is one of the wittiest TV commercial I’ve ever seen. It is definitely eye-catching; whether it is making sales for Travelocity, that’s a different story altogether.
I bet that some may wonder, why the stereotypes of male flight attendants? Is it sarcastically funny? Or just a gimmick for the sake of making the ad work? Then again, its just an ad. Mere creative edge of advertising. At the end of the day, it is really about how each individual who watched this think. Nevertheless, a great ad that is altogether witty, funny and entertaining.

I don’t think that this commercial will be allowed on TV, at least not in my country. But who cares, you can just watch it here… very funny I assure you! Hahaha… the chick needs a pair of glasses.
I enjoy looking at beer advertisements especially those from Heineken, Tiger and Guinness Stout. The reason is very simple, most of the time, these advertisements or commercials feature sexy and hot models. Why not, beers are usually meant for macho men who love watching sexy girls…
Yeah, I enjoy looking at girls too.
But, look at this out of the ordinary Heineken advertisement. Notice the 3D hand poking out from behind trying to grab that bottle of Heineken from you?
