Kota Tinggi Flooding Pictures
It was Christmas and New Year, and the season to be merry. But just as the tsunami struck at this time a couple of years ago, the floods in several states in Malaysia have this year dampened the Christmas cum New Year spirit. Flood was especially terrible in places like Kota Tinggi and Segamat in Johor.
Below are some pictures to just illustrate how terrible was the flooding condition in Kota Tinggi.

The photographer had to take a sampan (boat in the Malay, Malaysia’s national language) in the town area of Kota Tinggi. You can see the whole town was soaked in meters deep water!
The sky was also so gloomy, perhaps heavy down pour was on the way too.

Look at the fierce water current! I believe within minutes the whole town was virtually under few meters deep water. Scary indeed.

One of the supermarket in town was also in water!

It was reported that this flooding in Johor was the worst in 100 years.

Look at the above picture, the water was roof high! OMG! How do you expect to escape from this sort of flooding? Climb up to your house’s roof? Make sure you are quick enough in climbing!

The biggest shopping center in Kota Tinggi was not spared too.

Pity Bank Simpanan Nasional, one of the well known banks among the locals. Hope they managed to save all the cash and important documents… nobody want to dry millions of ringgit in the sun afterwards
Hahaha…
